Course Overview
Science is so much more fun when we can eat our experiments! In this summer course, we’ll explore a new experiment each day and the science behind it. We’ll explore taste buds, solar ovens, and other experiments and activities that all have an edible component. We’ll explore engineering principles, physics, and biology, all while experimenting with food. We’ll utilize the scientific and engineering processes to better understand the questions we’re exploring. Students will receive a list of supplies in advance of the course so that they’re able to be prepared for experiments.
Student Outcomes:
- Compare and contrast the scientific and engineering processes
- Explore the science behind daily experiments
- Connect food and science
