ASK THE TEACHER:

What is one of your favorite quotes?

Many of my favorite quotes come from The Phantom Tollbooth, and one that I like particularly is: “‘You must never feel badly about making mistakes,’ explained Reason quietly, ‘as long as you take the trouble to learn from them. For you often learn more by being wrong for the right reasons than you do by being right for the wrong reasons.’"

What is your favorite word?

I admit to having many favorite words, and one is hypotenuse. I love the sound of the syllables together, and enjoy the definition, especially considering the many joys of right triangles!
