Do you have a young reader who is devouring books faster than you can keep up? Are you worried about content that is too mature/violent/etc? This is an issue that arises a lot.
Common Sense Media is a great site for looking up books (and more), and it gives you a recommended age and any themes that are in the books. It also includes parent reviews, so this can be a great place to start.

These are books that focus on different SEL topics and are a great way to build metacognition in students— allowing them to better understand who they are and how they learn!
Lower Elementary Book Recommendations
These are the books that we recommend for our younger gifted readers. Tried and true favorites from many students from over the years.
Upper Elementary Book Recommendations
These are the books that we recommend for our readers who are 8+. Each child is different, so be sure to take each recommendation through the lens of your own child- and if you aren’t sure, check out Common Sense Media.
